Paul Robinson has agreed a contract extension which will keep him at St. Andrew's until the end of the season.

The left-back's existing deal was due to expire on Sunday and Blues boss Lee Clark had been keen to have the experienced former West Brom and Bolton defender in his squad for the remainder of the campaign.

Since joining the club as a free agent back in September, Robinson has gone on to make 21 appearances.

He was initially brought in as cover for David Murphy, but following Murphy's long-term knee injury, he has made the left-back role his own.

Blues boss Clark said: “I’ve been delighted with Paul both on and off the pitch and I'm very pleased he has agreed to accept the club's offer to stay here until the end of the season."
