Lee Clark believes Andrew Shinnie has a bright future at Blues having been impressed by the midfielder’s form this season.
The Scotland international will move to St. Andrew’s from Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the summer after penning a pre-contract agreement.
Shinnie has scored 15 goals in the current campaign for Terry Butcher’s high-flying SPL side and Blues boss Clark has moved swiftly to add the 23-year-old to his squad for next season.
“We’ve watched him many times this season and he impressed us on each occasion,” said Clark.
“He is technically very good. He can make goals and can score goals himself. He’s got pace, which I think is very important, and links up well with the strikers.
“He has been to have a look around and seemed very impressed with the facilities at St. Andrew’s and at the training ground. We look forward to seeing him on the first day of pre-season training.”
He added: “It’s the first of what could be many new arrivals to add to the players we keep at the club at the end of the season.”
