David Murphy meets the Prince's Trust volunteers

As part of the club's ongoing support for The Prince's Trust, David Murphy recently visited a local project in Acocks Green to find out more about the scheme and lend a hand.

The renovation project consisted of a garden transformation in a community house, by turning a back yard of bushes into a welcoming play area with fresh green grass, a seating area, a vegetable patch, new fencing and decorated with 3D Jungle Book characters.

The program took place over a period of 12 weeks and provides a place for young people to gain personal and social skills confidence and the motivation they need to move into education, employment, training or volunteering.

If you would like to find out more about the charity or want to get involved you can visit their website at www.princes-trust.org.uk or contact the West Midlands office via webinfowm@princes-trust.org.uk
