Young Lions recall for Jack

Blues goalkeeper Jack Butland has been called-up to the England under-21 squad for their forthcoming UEFA European Championship play-off matches against Serbia.

The winners will claim a place in next summer’s finals, which are being staged in Israel.
The Three Lions host Serbia in the first play-off game at Norwich City’s Carrow Road ground on Friday October 12.
The return fixture will then be played on Tuesday October 16 in Serbia at FK Napradek in Krusevac.
Stuart Pearce's side finished top of their group with seven wins from eight matches, whilst Serbia also topped their qualifying group, which also included Denmark, Macedonia and Northern Ireland.
Nineteen-year-old Butland currently has six under-21 caps to his name. He recently made his full debut for the senior side season against Italy in Berne, where he became the youngest ever England international goalkeeper.
