Blues have offered a trio of rising stars new deals, while Callum Reilly has had a one-year option implemented.
Left-back Mitch Hancox, who has quickly become a first-team regular, has been offered a two-year contract, with a further one-year option.
Meanwhile USA youth international Will Packwood, currently recovering from a broken leg sustained in January, has been offered the chance to have his stay extended at the club for a further year. Full-back Amari’i Bell, a regular in the U21 development squad, has been offered a one-year extension, with a further one-year option.
The club has also extended Republic of Ireland U21 midfielder Reilly’s stay at St. Andrew's for a further 12 months.
“I have made no secret that the emergence of so many young, talented players in and around the first-team this season has been one of the highlights of my first year at the football club,” Blues boss Lee Clark told bcfc.com.
“The fact that these new contracts have been offered proves that, as a club, we are committed to building for the future and furthering the development of these rising stars.
“Callum and Mitch have proven to be vital members of my first-team squad this season, as was Will before his horrific injury and I’m delighted to see that he’s well on the road to recovery. I am looking forward to continuing my working relationship with all three players, while Amari’i is another undoubted talent who both myself and the coaching staff look forward to nurturing.”
Elsewhere defensive trio Jack Deaman, Fraser Kerr and Graham Hutchison have been informed that their contracts will not be renewed beyond the current 2012/13 campaign. The club would like to take this opportunity to thank all three for their services to the club and wish them well in their future footballing careers.
Further details regarding remaining players whose contracts are due to expire this season will be announced in due course and in any event will be prior to the Football League deadline of Saturday 18 May.
