STIRCHLEY PRIMARY CROWNED F&C CHAMPIONS
Sixteen schools from across Birmingham battled it out to be crowned champions of the F&C Schools Challenge 2009 and what a grand final it was! Each team was kitted out with brand new Umbro strips courtesy of F&C Investments and they all looked every inch professional throughout the six-a-side tournament. A morning of intense group stages was undertaken with Chilcote Primary School, Severne Road Primary School, St George and St Teresa Primary School and Stirchley Primary School emerging as semi-finalists. In the end St George and St Teresa and Stirchley made their way through to the last two and it was a finale fitting for an excellent tournament. Stirchley scored immediately after kick-off with a thunderbolt strike. St George and St Teresa equalised after half-time but Stirchley hit back with two goals to run out worthy 3-1 winners. F&C Investments would like to thank all schools for participating in the tournament and congratulations to Stirchley Primary School.
