Blues Reserves progressed through to the 3rd round of the Birmingham Senior cup with a 3-2 win away at Tipton town on Wednesday evening.

James O'Brien opened the scoring for Blues after just four minutes directly from a free kick, before German under 19 international Semih Aydilek doubled the advantage for Terry Westley's side  ten minutes later.

But the home side were back in the game on the 22 minute mark when Tipton's Nicky Campbell fired home from close range.

Blues regained their two goal advantage just into the second half when Sean Timmins met Luke Hubbins' free kick and steered the ball home from close range.

Tipton once again reduced the deficit with 15 minutes of tie remaining via Tim Jackson, but Blues were able to hold on to their advantage as they sought to maintain their defence of the Cup they won last year.
