LESSON LEARNT FOR ACADEMYIt was an education lesson with a difference for the Blues Academy when they visited the Bodies Revealed Exhibition at the Custard Factory on Wednesday. Bodies Revealed is a unique exhibition that demonstrates how the human body works using real human specimens, painstakingly prepared and respectfully preserved. The squad were taken through galleries looking inside the skeletal, muscular, reproductive, respiratory and circulatory systems of the human body. The visit was organised by Blues' Education and Welfare Officer Richard Beale, as part of the players' off the field studies. "We have brought the young players here to supplement what they are doing for their BTEC National Certificate," Richard told bcfc.com. "Everything here is relevant to what they are studying and it will give them a deeper knowledge and understanding of how the body works. It is important for them to know how they look after their body and see the warning signs." First year scholar Fraser Kerr added: "It's interesting to see the organs and the way the body works for real. Learning about the body relates to football and we can learn a lot about injuries."
