Lifelong Blues fan Jasper will be presented with his star by the Lord Mayor of Birmingham Councillor Randal Brew on Saturday 15th September 2007 in Centenary Square, Broad Street.
Lord Mayor Randal Brew said: "I am pleased to be able to present Jasper with the honour of being inducted onto the Birmingham Walk of Stars, Broad Street. He has made people laugh in this country for many years and fully deserves this honour from his home city."
Jasper was born in Birmingham in 1945 and quickly became a household name in the 1970's selling out theatres around the UK with his quick fire natural humour, often celebrating Birmingham culture. He has also enjoyed a hugely successful TV career over the past four decades and currently presents the hit ITV quiz show Golden Balls.
Jasper said: "To be presented with such an award by the people of the city where I was born and bred can only be regarded as the ultimate honour."
The public are welcome to attend the free event in Centenary Square, Broad Street which will take place at 7pm.
At the conclusion of Jasper Carrott's Walk of Stars induction, the public are also welcome to stay for a spectacular free concert by the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and the Birmingham Royal Ballet, followed by a stunning firework finale as part of Artsfest 2007.
