MUAMBA JOINS BOLTON

muambaMidfielder Fabrice Muamba has today joined Bolton Wanderers after Blues agreed a fee for the 20-year-old.

Muamba has signed a four-year deal with the Lancashire club for an initial £5 million with an additional £750,000 as add-ons.

The former Arsenal man signed for Blues on a season-long loan at the end of July 2006.

A virtual ever-present, Muamba had an impressive first season and featured in 41 games, picking up a Young Player of the Year award along the way. He signed a three-year contract at St.Andrew's in the summer of 2007.

The England Under-21 international went on to make 38 appearances in the 2007-08 Premier League season, scoring twice.

Fabrice leaves Birmingham City with the best wishes of everyone at the club.
