WORK GATHERS PACE
Birmingham City's commitment to improving the infrastructure of the club continues to gather pace - with work having begun on a makeover for the Blues Superstore.
The club's Board is dedicated to making major improvements on and off the pitch and the St. Andrew's shop is the latest pledge to supporters that is being fulfilled.
The retail revamp comes hot on the heels of the signing of six new players - with the promise of more to come within the next month - the £500,000 installation of undersoil heating and a new playing surface at the stadium and work to modernise the Wast Hills training complex.
A new track around the pitch is starting to take shape with the old surface being replaced with blue EDPM rubber. The new track will be royal blue and is set to be complete in five weeks time.
Work is also underway to erect a new big screen and tannoy system at St. Andrew's, and no less than £1 million is being spent on improving the Main Stand. Other areas of the stadium being improved include corporate lounges, the dug-outs and changing rooms.
When complete the Blues Superstore will be an outlet fit for the Premier League with a bright new look and there will be more free floor space to make the Blues shopping experience much more enjoyable.
The store is closed completely for one week, from Friday 3 to Friday 10 July whilst the renovation work is underway. However, supporters can still make purchases via our mail order hotline on 0844 557 1486 or online at www.bluesonlinestore.co.uk throughout this period.
The club are also offering a collection service from St. Andrew's Stadium - for more details on this please call us on 0844 557 1486 or email bluesdirect@bcfc.com.
On Saturday 11 July (9am) the new look Blues Superstore will be re-opened by a first team player and the brand new Barclays Premier League 09/10 away kit and 09/10 training kit will also go on sale!
