Blues boss Alex McLeish gave supporters an injury update after his side lost 2-1 to Nottingham Forest in a pre-season friendly at the City Ground.
McLeish lost the services of Martin Taylor and Marcus Bent in the second half of the game in the East Midlands.
'Tiny' Taylor was the most concerning of the two injuries as he left the field of play on a stretcher, with his right leg in a brace, just minutes after the break.
Striker Bent, meanwhile, hobbled off in the second period having been on the pitch for just 15 minutes.
McLeish explained: "Both will be scanned tomorrow to find out the extent of the damage.
"Tiny went over on his ankle and was in a bit of pain so we took him off as a precaution and hopefully it won't be too bad.
"Marcus was feeling his hamstring and we'll take a good look at him over the next couple of days also."
Although the 90 minutes at the City Ground provided further match sharpness for his players, the Blues manager was disappointed to lose the game.
And with the Premier League creeping ever closer he has called for more quality.
McLeish added: "We are disappointed because we are a Premier League club and we wanted to win the game.
"We didn't show enough of our quality this afternoon and we need to show more of it.
"Of course it was a valuable exercise in terms of gaining more match fitness and we did look extremely sharp in spells but we want to get into a winning habit."
