Christian Benitez and Giovanny Espinoza have been selected for Ecuador's upcoming 2010 World Cup qualifying games.

Ecuador host Uruguay on Saturday October 10 in Quito, before travelling to Santiago on Wednesday October 14 to face Chile.

Sixto Vizuete's Ecuador side currently occupy fourth spot in their qualifying group and edge out Maradona's Argentina side, who lie in fifth place.

In what is an incredibly tight group, just three points separates Ecuador from Columbia in eighth spot.

The top four teams qualify automatically for the finals in South Africa next year, with the fifth placed side entering a play-off.
