Referee Mike Dean will take charge of Wednesday evening's Barclays Premier League game between West Ham and Blues at Upton Park.

The Wirral-based official has refereed 27 games so far this season, in which he has produced a total of 96 yellow cards and three reds.

The last Blues game he took charge of was the club's 0-0 draw against Manchester City at St. Andrew's in November.

On that occasion he booked five players including Scott Dann, James McFadden and Barry Ferguson for Blues. He also sent Barry Ferguson off in the 90th minute for a deliberate hand ball

Mr Dean will be assisted by Simon Beck from Bedford and Simon Long from Suffolk.
