Blues Reserves are back in action this evening as they face their Aston Villa counterparts at Villa Park.

Malky Thomson's Blues side go into tonight's Barclays Premier Reserve League (South) fixture looking to record their fourth successive victory.

When the two sides met in the corresponding fixture at St. Andrew's earlier in the season it was honours even as they game finished 3-3, with Robin Shroot netting twice for Blues and Kevin Phillips once.

Included in tonight's starting XI is David Murphy, who will be making his first competitive start since breaking his knee cap last April.

Jordon Mutch, who is currently on loan at Doncaster, also starts as he is permitted to play in non-first team fixtures for Blues.

Mutch was an unused substitute in Rovers' Championship game last night against Preston.
