Stuart Parnaby has recovered from the ankle injury that kept him out of Blues' last game against Everton.
The full-back picked up the injury in the league game against Portsmouth on March 9 and there had been fears that he faced another lengthy spell on the sidelines in a season that had already been blighted by injury.
Just two Blues players now remain on sidelines - Lee Carsley who his recovering from an ankle injury, and Garry O'Connor, who had an operation on his hips.
"Parnaby is okay now and he's training again," confirmed Alex McLeish ahead of this weekend's trip to Sunderland.
"We didn't do the scan. The doc felt he was going to recover quickly, so it was good judgement by the doctor.
"There's just Carsley and O'Connor out now.
"Other than that everybody is looking for a place (against Sunderland) although Tainio can't play because he's a Sunderland player and the rules preclude that."
