MCFADDEN - BLUES CAN COMPETE WITH ANYBODY
"If you look back we're disappointed it's not been five wins on the trot," McFadden told the Mail. "If I had scored the penalty against Manchester City we would have won, and the lad dived for the penalty at Liverpool, who didn't look like they were going to score until then. "We need to keep going and make sure we don't get beaten. "No fear against anybody. That's the biggest thing for us. We should not fear anybody and we don't, we feel we've got a chance of beating teams in this league, whoever they are." McFadden, who was in sparkling, teasing form during the Wolves victory, said Blues would not become distracted. "When you are on this kind of run you just want to keep on winning games," he added. "'It's not going to be a case of complacency because we are always looking over our shoulder to make sure we get further away from teams round about us, like Wolves. "We put a nice gap between us and them and we have to make sure we keep that gap and move away from others at the bottom."
Plus the way the Carson Yeung regime have immersed themselves into all aspects of the club, particularly getting close to the players and building up trust, has been a contributory factor. "When you can relax and enjoy it and that's when your confidence comes into it, you don't really think about it, you just do it," said McFadden. "Everybody seems to be pulling in the same direction, which makes it easier to play at the moment as well. "The new owners have come and have had an impact. "Sammy Yu is at the training ground every day, there's a bit of a relaxed atmosphere, and we've actually got to know the owners, you meet them. "They are there, more or less all the time. It's been a big change for the club and I think maybe the euphoria of the takeover might have rubbed off on the players. There is a feelgood factor and hopefully it can continue."
