Steve Bruce has denied falling out with Mikael Forssell over his lack of playing time, writes Colin Tattum in the Birmingham Mail.

Forssell has yet to start a Championship game since August.

"He is upset and disappointed he has not figured a lot this season, which is understandable," said Bruce.

"Every player wants to play.

"But something could happen to someone tomorrow, you never know. We need four strikers.

"The biggest mistake I made last season was going in with three strikers, knowing the injury doubts about Mikael and David Dunn.

"That's what I want to guard against. Mikael will get his chance again, I'm sure."
