Defender Stuart Parnaby joined Blues from Middlesbrough in the summer of 2007 on a Bosman free transfer, signing a three-year deal.
He was unable to dislodge ever-present right-back Stephen Kelly in 2007/08 but his versatility still proved a very useful asset as he played in several different positions in defence and midfield.
He played a more prominent role in the first half of the promotion-winning 2008/09 campaign until a thigh injury kept him sldelined for the final few months.
The Durham-born player is a product of Boro's Academy and a former England under 21 international.
