Ten Point Pledge

UNDERSOIL HEATING PLEDGE

BlueslogoBirmingham City FC are pleased to confirm that, as part of our New Year…New Start campaign, undersoil heating will be installed at St. Andrew's during the closed season along with a pitch upgrade, regardless of divisional status.

This decision has been taken after listening to the feedback from our supporters following the postponement of Saturday's FA Cup tie to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The board have allocated the significant funds required for this project, and work will begin immediately after the last game of this season and completed in time for the start of the 2009-2010 season.

This announcement is just one of the pledges put in place for supporters at Birmingham City FC and it joins the ever growing list to improve St. Andrew's Stadium and the football club through 2009, as well as the relationship between the club and the supporters.

"It is important that we listen to our supporters," said David Sullivan, chairman of Birmingham City FC's PLC.

"'In the past we have allocated all funds to bringing in players to achieve promotion or maintain Premier League status, but supporters want  to see things happening off the pitch as well as on it and we will find the balance needed to do this.

"I promise that we are listening, and most importantly, taking action where we can."
