Birmingham City Football Club are pleased to announce the launch of the official Birmingham City Former Players' Association website.

The Former Players' Association was launched back in April 2008 and has gone from strength to strength over the last year. Since its launch the numbers of former players involved in the project has multiplied, and the players have got together and taken part in many public appearances, special events and charity football matches over the last year.

Last month the Former Players commemorated the life of Blues legend, Jeff Hall at a memorial dinner held in his honour at St. Andrew's and at our game vs. Preston North End, Gil Merrick held a book signing session in the Blues Superstore to launch his autobiography.

As well as events like these, the former players have also formed the Birmingham All Stars football team where a whole host of famous names from Blues history including Kevan Broadhurst, Ian Clarkson and Martin O'Connor to name but a few, take part in regular football fixtures for local charities such as Acorns Children's Hospice, Motor Neurone Disease, Leukaemia Research, MacMillan Cancer Relive and Cancer Research and so far they have raised around £750,000!

To keep up to date with all the latest news and developments of the association, including upcoming events such as the Former Players' Association End of Season Dinner on May 29th and all the forthcoming fixtures for the Birmingham All Stars log on to the brand new website at www.bcfclegends.co.uk.

If you want to know more about the work that the Former Players get involved with, or perhaps you are a former player or an avid supporter who wants to get involved with the association click here www.bcfclegends.co.uk to find out more.
