CHARITY CHIEF VISITS BLUES

A prestigious visitor arrived at St. Andrew's today (3 July), when Marie Curie Cancer Care chief executive Tom Hughes-Hallett was a guest of Birmingham City.
As part of the club's Our City, Our Vision community initiative Blues have pledged support to the fantastic work being carried out in the West Midlands, as well as right across the country, by Marie Curie.
To highlight our backing we invited Marie Curie to use the Jasper Carrott Suite at the stadium for a 'drop-in session' hosted by Mr Hughes-Hallett.
The charity leader met local volunteers and fundraisers and the group were given a mini tour of St. Andrew's.
Area fundraising manager Lynn Wood said: "Everyone at Marie Curie is really enjoyed coming to St. Andrew's. Our Chief Executive was thrilled to visit the club."
Lynn is based at Marie Curie Cancer Care's Solihull hospice, which provides an invaluable service for people with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.
