Blues' Our City, Our Vision project is committed to supporting charities, community groups and other organisations and initiatives in Birmingham and continues to build strong and long-lasting working relationships across the city.
This last week has been no different as the club pledged support to a duo of fundraising activities, both of which have a strong West Midlands influence but one which will help make a big difference in another part of the world.
The football club has linked up with businesses in the local community, including CVS Financial Planning Ltd, Lloyds TSB and NatWest, to hold an event at St. Andrew's Stadium that will raise vital funds to help victims of the Haiti disaster.
The glitzy dinner and auction will take place in the Jasper Carrott Suite at the ground on 11 March 2010.
Blues have donated the suite free of charge and every penny of profit from the event will be presented to the Disasters Emergency Committee to help with the great work they are carrying out in helping Haitians left stricken by the recent earthquake.
The club is proud to be able to assist kind-hearted members of the Birmingham business community in raising as much money as possible.
Tables can be booked by calling the club on 0844 557 1463 or Laura Williams on 07984 134755.
Meanwhile, Blues also stepped in to help the West Midlands branch of charity Sense hold a fantastic fundraising event.
We allowed volunteers from and friends of Sense - the leading national charity that supports and campaigns for children and adults who are deafblind - to use the indoor arena at the club's training ground for a marathon sponsored football event.
Sense held the round robin friendly five-a-side tournament in facilities normally reserved for Blues' Premier League stars and managed to play, on a rotational basis, for no less than six hours!
