These Birmingham schoolchildren were all smiles when Blues midfielder Mitch McPike and local tennis coaches dropped in to make their lessons much more fun!

The sporting guests paid a visit to Moseley C of E Primary School to talk to the youngsters about fitness and living a healthy lifestyle as well as signing autographs and having photos taken with the beaming youngsters.Mitch McPike went down a storm at Moseley C of E Primary School

McPike, 18, went along to the school to meet the pupils as part of the club's Our City, Our Vision project and the coaches were there to help raise the profile of tennis ahead of the AEGON Classic tournament, which takes place at the Edgbaston Priory Club from 7-13 June.

Blues man Mitch said: "It was great to go to the school and meet so many youngsters who are so mad about sport - both football and tennis.

"Of course their studies are really important but it's really pleasing that the majority of the boys and girls that we met are so keen on both participating in and watching sport.

"Hopefully our visit will have helped some of the few that aren't so sure about sport to get involved and that they will soon be down at St. Andrew's cheering on Blues and of course at the AEGON Classic in June too."

Birmingham is a hotbed of world class sport throughout the year and with no top flight football to watch in June why not show your support for some of the best female tennis stars on the planet.
