Adams joined Blues as a scholar after leaving West Ham's Academy. 

He was initially signed as a midfielder, but he can also play in defence.  

He was given a squad number in January 2014 and later that same month he made his first team debut as a substitute in Blues' 3-0 FA Cup third round victory against Bristol Rovers at St. Andrew's.

In January 2014, Adams joined Skrill Premier outfit Lincoln City on loan until the end of the season and he went on to make 15 appearances for the Imps

In May 2014, Blues activated a one-year contract option on the player, which will keep him at St. Andrew's until at least 2015.

In October 2014, adams joined Lincoln City on loan for a second time. During a successful spell at Sincil Bank, which included a very brief spell back at Blues, Adams made a total of 14 appearances and scored two spectacular long-range goals. He was recalled bu Blues in March 2015.
