Blues completed the signing of former Burnley and Newcastle United defender David Edgar in June 2014 on a two-year contract.
Standing six feet four inches tall, the Canadian international can play in a range of defensive positions, as well as in midfield.
Born in the Canadian city of Kitchener to an English father, he began his footballing career as 14-year-old with Newcastle, before later turning professional and making his debut for the Magpies in December 2006.
Having made 23 appearances for Newcastle he left St James' Park in July 2009 to link-up with Burnley.
During a four year spell with Burnley, Edgar made a total of 115 appearances and scored three goals. He also a spent a spell out on loan at Swansea City towards the end of the 2009/10 season.
In the 2013/14 season he made 21 appearances for the Clarets during their promotion-winning campaign to the Barclays Premier League.
On 21 January 2015, Edgar joined Championship side Huddersfield Town on loan until the end of the 2014/15 campaign.
