Blues signed Manchester United starlet Jesse Lingard on an initial one-month youth loan on September 19, 2013.
The 20-year-old attacking midfielder is currently one of the brightest stars in the Red Devils’ youth ranks having caught the headlines during the Barclays Premier League champions’ 2013 pre-season tour with a healthy goal tally.
The Warrington-born star scored the first goal of the David Moyes era against the A-League All Stars in Sydney and went on to earn his first England U21s cap during the 6-0 victory over Scotland U21s lin August 2013.
Versatile Lingard, who can play on either flank or in a central role, has been one of United’s stand-out performers at U21s level having lifted the FA Youth Cup in 2011.
The former England U17 international made the bench for United in the League Cup last season and spent two months on loan at Leicester City.
Lingard made a dream debut for Blues as he scored four goals against Sheffield Wednesday in the Sky Bet Championship game at St. Andrew's on 21 September.
Following a successful first month at St. Andrew's his deal was extended to 15 December.
