The Welsh international moved to Blues in the summer of 2013 after his contract with Blackpool came to an end.

Llandudno-born Eardley began his career at Oldham Athletic where he made over 100 appearances for the Latics before moving to Blackpool for an undisclosed fee in August 2009.

The right-back quickly became a mainstay in the Seasiders team that had a one-season stint in the Barclays Premier League during the 2010/11 campaign.

Eardley made his debut for Blues against Watford at the start of August 2013. But having made just seven appearances, his season was brought to a premature end when he ruptured his medial ligament and suffered a partial tear in his anterior cruciate ligament against Ipswich Town. He returned to full training in July 2014.

In January 2015 Eardley joined League One side Leyton Orient for what was expected to be a one-month loan. However, with the agreement of all parties, he returned early from the O's having made just one appearance.
