A product of Blues' Academy, American youth international Will Packwood can play in either defence or midfield.
Born in Massachusetts, Packwood has an English father who hails from Solihull and an American mother, therefore has dual US and British nationality.
Having signed a two-year professional contract with Blues in the summer of 2011, he made his first-team breakthrough during the 2012/13 campaign.
He went on to make seven senior appearances as a right full-back, however his debut campaign was cut short when he suffered a badly broken left leg during the FA Cup fixture at Leeds United in January 2013.
He joined Sky Bet League Two side Bristol Rovers on a one-month emergency youth loan in October 2013, which was later extended. He returned to St. Andrew's in December 2013, having made eight appearances for the Cherries.
Packwood signed a new one-year deal in the summer of 2014.
Packwood went out on loan for a second time in November 2014 when he joined League One side Colchester United. Unfortunately on his debut for the U's against MK Dons he was injured in the process of conceding a penalty and was forced to return to Blues prematurely for treatment.
