Southampton-born stopper Darryl Flahavan made 469 appearances during a professional playing career that spanned close to 20 years.
After staring his career with his hometown club, Flahavan went on to play for Woking and Southend before making the switch to Crystal Palace in 2008.
He later joined Leeds, Oldham, Portsmouth and Bournemouth, before hanging up his gloves with his final team Crawley in early 2016.
Flahavan's first goalkeeping coaching role came in the summer of 2016, as part of Garry Monk's backroom staff at Leeds United,
Flahavan was well-known to Monk having played alongside him at Southampton.
In June 2017, he followed Monk to Middlesbrough, before linking up with him again at Blues in March 2018.
