Jonathan Leko joins Charlton Athletic on loan

Jonathan Leko has joined Charlton Athletic on loan until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old forward returns to the Valley having scored five goals during a loan spell there two seasons ago before a serious injury cut short his time in South East London.

Leko has made a total of 41 appearances for Blues since his move from West Bromwich Albion in August 2020, when he signed a three-year deal at St. Andrew's.

He has featured six times for Lee Bowyer's side this season, with his last appearance coming from the bench as he replaced Lukas Jutkiewicz late on in Saturday's draw against Barnsley.

Charlton currently occupy 19th place in League One, having won one, drawn one and lost three of their opening five fixtures. Last time out, they overcame Crewe Alexandra 2-0 at home.

Good luck, Jonathan!
