Blues Men's: Retained and released list

The Club can today confirm the list of retained and released players following the conclusion of the 2021/22 Sky Bet Championship season.

Birmingham City has previously triggered extension options for three players, with Josh Andrews, Odin Bailey and Ryan Stirk all seeing their contracts extended until 2023. 

A further two players have agreed new contracts with the Football Club. As per the terms of their deals, Tate Campbell and Adan George will sign on 1 July.

Six of Blues’ Under-18 players have been offered their first professional contract.

Alfie Brooks, Rico Browne, Rico Patterson, Tommy Fogarty, Callum Sullivan and Kieran Wakefield have all shone throughout their two-year scholarship and have been rewarded with the opportunity to sign professional forms. 

Eight players have been released following the expiration of their contracts:

Jeremie Bela, Renedi Masampu, Archie Matthews, Kristian Pedersen, Oriol Soldevila, Kane Thompson-Sommers, Connal Trueman, Yoane Zohore. 

Five players have returned to their parent clubs:

Tahith Chong, Onel Hernandez, Teden Mengi, Taylor Richards, Lyle Taylor.
