Blues announce squad departures

Long-serving Colin Doyle has not been offered a new contract, neither has fellow Academy product Callum Reilly.

Other players with first team experience Matt Green, Olly Lee and Will Packwood have also been released.

Gavin Gunning, who spent virtually the entire season sidelined after suffering a knee injury, has also exited. Blues have not taken up the year's option on his contract.

Kamal Guthmy, who joined Blues on a six-month deal in January, has been released as well.

Nikola Zigic's future was revealed after Blues last home game of the season. He has not been offered a new contract, thus the curtain has come down on his five-year spell at St. Andrew's.

It was announced several weeks ago that James Fry, Luke Armstrong, Nat Kelly and Callum Preston  would not be getting new contracts.

Reece Webb, Bobby Moseley and George McGee have also departed Blues after their third year scholarships.

Blues have a year's option on Amari'i Bell's contract and Gary Rowett said his future was still to be decided.

Rowett called the squad into Wast Hills yesterday to set out his plans for the future.

He held face to face meetings with those who have been let go.

Four players have been offered new contracts: Jonathan Spector, Koby Arthur, Nick Townsend and Charlee Adams while Blues remain in negotiations with Darren Randolph.
