There won't be any friendlies while we are away, but it is something we will look at for next year.
Gary Rowett will take the squad away to either Germany or Holland for a training camp, with the final destination yet to be confirmed.
There will be no friendlies played, however, while Blues are abroad in the second week of July.
The Blues boss prefers that the players train and prepare for the new campaign in private.
In the past two weeks Rowett has jetted out to check over potential destinations in Germany and Holland.
"We are looking at four or five days away, on an intensive training camp," Rowett said.
"I want the players to get that base fitness without any distractions whilst bonding together as a group."
Rowett understands that many fans like to follow Blues abroad on tour.
"There won't be any friendlies while we are away, but it is something we will look at for next year," said the manager.
Blues held a closed training camp in Spain in 2006, under Steve Bruce, following relegation from the Premier League.
The Blues squad went away to a mountain retreat near Marbella and played a behind-closed-doors friendly at their training ground.
