The event gave the local business community and media the opportunity to view the new home strip and meet Club staff.
Blues last wore adidas in the late 1970s and the new home kit, which was showcased on the evening, has already been extremely well received by supporters and Club partners alike.
The Club is also looking forward to working with 888sport, our new Principal Sponsor, whose name will adorn the playing shirts in 2016/17.
And we are extremely happy to extend our Diamond Partner relationships with No5 Chambers, our back of the shirts sponsors, and SnatchPac Ltd, who again sponsor the back of the shorts.
Speaking to the assembled guests, Blues Director Panos Pavlakis said: "On behalf of both boards, BCFC and BIHL, we are very delighted to welcome adidas - 33 years after their last involvement with Birmingham City.
“It is proof that we have a very good project going on here, we are an attractive team, big companies like adidas and 888sport can see some proper value here and they have come on board.
"For us it's a great feeling and for the fans it's an even greater feeling to see a kit they haven't seen for 33 years.
"You have seen the classic photo of Trevor Francis and (Alberto) Tarantini wearing that blue shirt, it's brilliant to have something like that again.
"It's about the prestige you get as a team having adidas coming back for four years."
Blues' Head of Commercial Ian Dutton, added: "In the nine years I have been at the Club, fans have been crying out for a really good brand, a lot of them have mentioned adidas along the way - hopefully we have given them what they wanted.
"I think we can all see the kit is fantastic quality, fantastic to look at and I am sure they will all be the same for many years to come now.
"Fans have a sentimental attachment to adidas, fans associate it with the 70s and 80s era and some fantastic players."
