Blues are backing Blues 4 All

The initiative has grown into one of the main all-inclusive supporters groups in the country.

Representatives were invited to this season’s team photoshoot and had their picture taken with Blues boss Gary Rowett, Blues 4 All’s Ambassador Clayton Donaldson and team skipper Michael Morrison.

The group have recently invited a Local CRA Parish and Bordesley-based Phoenix Youth Club to attend their first Blues fixtures.

All tickets were sold through the Club’s popular Community Ticket Incentive Scheme, where local charities, schools and sports teams can raise much-needed funds by selling special rate tickets for certain home matches at St. Andrew’s.

For every ticket sold, the seller will receive 50 per cent* commission for them to use, to help them secure new equipment or to contribute to their general running costs.

The aim for this season is to continue to build on these foundations and to attract larger groups throughout the current season.

“We’ve invited a lot of groups and we want to get them through the gates at St. Andrew’s," said Blues 4 All Chairman Mick Singh.

“You can see that the support we’ve got is from different nationalities and cultures. If you pick a specific one it’ll never work.”

“We’ve spoken to the churches, temples and mosques, so hopefully we’ll have a far greater influence on the people we’re trying to encourage this season.

“We don’t just want to bring them to the ground. We like to let them know what they’re going to do and what they’re about to experience," Singh added.

“Supporting Blues is in my blood and it’s rewarding to see these fresh faces becoming new supporters.

“Once you’ve walked through those doors and experienced the Club you’re hooked.

“Looking at the groups we’ve already brought in, they’ve introduced more of their families, so hopefully we can add to those things that we’ve put in place.”

Blues 4 All originally started in July 2015 and was born from a simple idea of bringing communities together whilst supporting our great Football Club.

The initiative promotes that all supporters are welcome regardless of race, religion, colour, creed, disability, sexual orientation or age.

The group, which is continually striving to voice its message to all parts of the Second City, has received support from the Lord Mayor and local councillor Shafiq Shah.

In addition, Blues 4 All recently attended the 2016 Supporters Summit, alongside the Blues Trust, where they were able to debate key issues around ticket pricing, diversity, campaigning and lobbying.
