Will Buckley’s loan extended

Buckley, who joined exactly two weeks ago from Sunderland has impressed Blues boss Gary Rowett after originally signing on a one-month emergency loan deal that ran until Thursday 11 February.

The winger made his debut against Derby County as a 88th minute substitute, before shining in front of a St. Andrew’s crowd where a goal and man of the match performance helped Blues beat Ipswich Town 3-0 last week.

Buckley, 26, began his career with Rochdale and had spells at Watford and Brighton & Hove Albion before making the switch to Sunderland for a reported £2.5million fee in August 2014.

Back in October he spent a short spell at Championship side Leeds United, where he made four appearances for the Whites, with three of those coming off the substitutes' bench.
