David Davis agrees new Blues contract

Davis, 25, put pen to paper this afternoon, providing Blues with another boost ahead of Saturday's game at St. Andrew's against Nottingham Forest.

Davis has been one of Blues' best and most consistent performers this campaign and new manager Gianfranco Zola made it a priority to sort out his future.

Zola restored Davis to his favoured central midfield position. The former Wolverhampton Wanderers player has adopted a variety of role for Blues since moving from Molineux in August 2014.

Davis' current contract was due to expire this summer.

Smethwick-born Davis has made 107 appearances for Blues and has established himself as an integral part of the team.
