Diego Fabbrini leaves for Italy

The loan runs until 30 June 2017 and Spezia also have an option to make the deal permanent.

The 26-year-old forward has found his chances limited since returning to Blues on a permanent £1.5m deal from Watford in January 2016.

This season the Italian has made only nine appearances, with just three of them starts.

He had previously had a successful loan spell at St. Andrew's at the end of the 2014/15 campaign when he made five appearances.

Prior to arriving at St. Andrew's for a second time, Fabbrini was on loan at Championship side Middlesbrough.

Fabbrini, who was born in San Giuliano Terme, Italy, has not played in his home country since leaving Serie A side Udinese for Watford in 2013.

Spezia are currently 10th in the Italian second tier.
