Luke Maxwell makes Grimsby Town loan move

The 19-year-old, who can also play in the centre of defence, has been a mainstay of the Blues Under-23s side this campaign and is the joint highest appearance maker with 18.

He was signed by Blues in January 2016 from non-league side Kidderminster Harriers for a fee of £75,000 on a three-and-a-half-year contract, but has yet to make his First Team bow.

The Mariners are managed by former Blues Ladies boss and ex-Solihull Moors manager Marcus Bignot.

They are currently in 11th spot, just a point off the play-off places.

Maxwell will have the chance to make his Grimsby debut tomorrow, when Bignot's side travel to Stevenage.
