And the Blues boss confirmed that he has already selected the 11 players that will start at Villa Park.
"We've worked hard with the players," said Redknapp. "It's really been a case of getting to know them.
"We picked the team this morning and the 11 that won't be playing showed a great attitude as well which is important.
"There were no sulkers because they weren't in the team and I think you're always looking for that. The whole lot of them have been good."
Redknapp continued: "The training pitches are fantastic, which for me is always the most important thing.
"I wouldn't care if the dressing rooms and the rest of it were rubbish, but if you've got somewhere nice to train it makes such a difference.
"The pitches here are excellent and I've been surprised how good they are. That makes it for me, to be able to go out there and do some quality work with them.
"You just hope that the players can show what they do on the training ground out on the pitch. That's what they need to do.
"It's what they do on Sunday in the proper game that counts. We'll find out."
