Scott Bevan has been appointed as Blues Under-23s Goalkeeper Coach.

The 39-year-old enjoyed a professional goalkeeping career that spanned more than 17 years.

Southampton-born Bevan was a product of his hometown club's Academy.

After leaving the Saints in 2004, he went on to play for a number of clubs; including MK Dons, Kidderminster Harriers, Torquay United and Bristol Rovers.

He finally hung up his gloves in 2014 at Havant & Waterlooville.

After finishing playing he set up a goalkeeping academy.

Prior to joining Blues, Bevan was goalkeeper coach at League One Portsmouth.

The move is part of a re-vamp of the Development structure by Manager Garry Monk.

This is the first time the Under-23s and as was the Under-21s have had a goalkeeper coach designated solely to themselves.

Matt Doyle joined Blues as Head of Academy Goalkeeping in January to oversee all Academy goalkeeping and coach the Under-18s and Under-23s.

He will continue to deliver his expertise throughout the Academy age groups and coach the Under-18s 'keepers.
