Cheikh Ndoye has returned to his former club on loan.

Blues midfielder Cheikh Ndoye has joined French Ligue One side Angers SCO on a season-long loan.

It is return to his former club for the 32-year-old Senegalese international who left Angers at the end of the 2016/17 campaign at the conclusion of his contract

Ndoye was signed by Blues in July 2017 under the management of former boss Harry Redknapp.

Since making his debut in the opening game of the 2017/18 season away at Ipswich town, Ndoye has amassed 42 appearances for Blues.

He has figured in both of Blues' Sky Bet Championship matches so far this season.

He came on as a late substitute in the opening day draw against Norwich City and started in Saturday's narrow loss at Middlesbrough.

Angers kicked off their season at the weekend with a 4-3 home defeat to Nimes and see the return of former favourite Ndoye, who is out of contract next summer, as a major fillip.

Due to the restrictions Blues have had placed on them by the EFL, the Club is considering various ways and means to aid their profitability and sustainability targets to comply with regulations.

Ideally Garry Monk would not want to reduce the number of players who make up his preferred senior squad.
