A number of Blues emerging young players have been offered new contracts by the Club.

Charlie Lakin and Steve Seddon have been offered two-year deals, both with a further one-year option available.

Midfielder Lakin, 18, and full-back Seddon, 20, have been two of the most consistent performers for Blues' Development Squad this season.

The duo were rewarded with a call-up to the First Team matchday squads for the FA Cup Fourth Round games against Huddersfield Town.

Lakin was introduced as extra-time substitute against the Terriers in place of Jason Lowe in the replay at St. Andrew's, with Seddon also named as a substitute.

Blues have also offered defender or holding midfielder Dominic Bernard, 20, new terms - a one-year contract. Bernard has returned to the fray impressively this season after several months' injury woe.

Centre-half Josh Martin, 19, who made his comeback from a long-term knee injury before the turn of the year, has been offered a new one-year contract with a one-year option.

Winger Olly McCoy, 20, has been in good form for the Under-23s of late and Blues have tabled a one-year deal to him, plus a year's option.

Blues also want to re-engage goalkeeper Jake Weaver, 20, on a one-year contract.

Blues have taken up their one-year contract options on three players: Under-23s leading scorer Kyle McFarlane, fellow attacker Beryly Lubala (both aged 20) and full-back or wideman Remeao Hutton (19).

On Monday, it was announced that Under-23s captain Wes Harding had signed a new two-year contract.

The Club have decided not to offer new contracts to Jack Storer, Wes McDonald, Matthew Timms and Olly Mulders.

Their present deals are due to expire in the summer. The Club wishes the quartet all the best for the future and thanks them for their efforts.
