Morrison wins Community Player of the Season Award

I think it’s really important to give something back to the community and everybody in the squad has been doing their bit.

Michael Morrison

Michael Morrison has been named as Blues’ PFA Community Player of the Season for 2017/18.

The Blues captain has made an outstanding contribution to a range of community and charity causes across Birmingham throughout the year.

"This year I’ve tried to make a conscious effort to do more in the community," said Morrison.

"I think it’s really important to give something back to the community and everybody in the squad has been doing their bit. There has been a conscious effort from the football club to unite together with the fans especially since Garry Monk has come in.

"It’s been good going out to the schools and other community projects. I know the lads have been doing the same and making sure all the kids support Blues.

"I do enjoy doing it and especially seeing the children’s faces. Visiting Monkspath Junior & Infant School in Solihull was my favourite appearance this season. The kids made me a poster saying thank you and how inspirational it was for them which was a really nice thing."
