Paul Robinson to join the BluesTV commentary team

BluesTV is delighted to announce the signing of former defender, Paul Robinson, on a one match deal ahead of Saturday’s Championship clash with Hull City.

‘Robbo’ will join our commentary team for the pre-match build up and live coverage of the game available only to BluesTV subscribers.

The 39-year old hung up his boots at the end of last season and joined the Club’s coaching staff assuming the role of Assistant Senior Professional Development coach working primarily alongside Richard Beale with the Under-23s squad.

It brought the curtain down on a glittering 22-year playing career in which Paul chalked up 765 professional appearances for the likes of Watford, West Bromwich Albion, Bolton, Leeds and finally Blues.

He played 175 times for the Club, having joined in 2012 when initially brought in on a one-month contract to cover Lee Clark’s defensive crisis.

His committed and whole-hearted displays struck a chord with the Blues support – six years later he was still pulling on a Blue shirt.

Alongside his coaching responsibilities, Robbo is frequently seen offering his expert insight as part of Sky Sports live EFL coverage.

This Saturday, Robbo will grace the BluesTV screens for one game only.
