Blues won that game 2-1 and there were six players booked in total; including Michael Morrison, Kristian Pedersen, Gary Gardner and Maikel Kieftenbeld for Blues.

The last Brentford match he refereed was their Championship home fixture against Nottingham Forest in September, which the Bees won 2-1.

There were no less than 12 players booked in that match; including Ezri Konsa Ngoyo, Yoann Barbet, Lewis MacLeod, Romaine Sawyers and Said Benrahma for the hosts.

Mr Bankes will be assisted by Geoffrey Russell and Robert Merchant, with Michael Salisbury acting as the fourth official.
