The Blues captain visited the Weoley Castle school as part of the Club’s support for Safer Internet Day 2018.
“It was great to see the kids learning about a safer internet,” said Dean. “It was nice to get involved, give a bit of advice and see their side of it.
“As footballers we’ve got experience of Facebook, twitter, Instagram and people saying positive and negative things about us.”
The global campaign, backed by the English Football League, promotes respectful, responsible and creative use of digital technology for children and young people.
The central defender caused quite a stir amongst the pupils with his visit and it was something that surprised him.
“It’s was overwhelming to be honest. I haven’t been at the Club that long and in the city of Birmingham – it was great to meet everyone. I really enjoyed it.”
