Midfielder Robert Tesche is leaving Blues.

He is to join Vfl Bochum on a free transfer.

Tesche spent the season on loan to the 2. Bundesliga side. After the expiry of the loan on 30 June, his contract with Blues will be terminated by mutual consent on 1 July. It had a year left to run.

Tesche, 31, came to Blues in March, 2015 on loan. He performed impressively - scoring the only goal on the final day at Bolton Wanderers which secured a 10th place finish.

He spent the next season at parent club Nottingham Forest before Blues signed him permanently on a free transfer in the summer of 2016.

This season just past Tesche made one appearance - scoring with a thumping header in the Carabao Cup win over Crawley Town - before being loaned in August.

The move back to his native Germany and Bochum yielded regular game-time and 15 appearances for Tesche.

In all, Tesche made 39 appearances for Blues, scoring three times.

The Club would like to wish Robert all the best for the future and we thank him for his service.
