BCFC – 11/10
Draw – 21/10
Blackburn – 11/4
11 days after their last Championship fixture, Birmingham City welcome Blackburn Rovers to St Andrew’s on Saturday afternoon. Garry Monk’s side are currently ninth in the table but a win here might be enough to climb above Nottingham Forest.
Birmingham fell short on home soil against Bolton Wanderers last time out but the Blues will want to make amends for that defeat. 11/10 is a reasonable price for the hosts to claim three points against a Blackburn side with just one away win since mid-October.
Che Adams has been in superb form this season, notching 19 goals in 32 league games. This weekend, 888sport have ENHANCED Adams to score in a Blues win to 7/2 – this wincast had landed in successive Championship matches before that loss to Bolton.
Monk will have his side fired up and ready to go ahead of Saturday’s contest. On paper, the Blues have the quality to shade this one but Blackburn are always dangerous in the final third. Both teams to score carries plenty of appeal at 17/20 for those betting on football this weekend.
Four defeats on the spin has seen Blackburn drop down to 14th in the table – three points behind the Blues. Over 2.5 goals has landed in over half of Blackburn’s games this season and 59/50 for another high scoring affair is well worth considering.
We could see an open and expansive first half at St Andrew’s this weekend; both sides try to play an exciting brand of football and that should help this one as a spectacle. 11/5 for over 1.5 goals in the opening 45 minutes is worth a punt.
The 14/5 available with 888sport for Birmingham to win by exactly one goal is a solid price. Monk’s men will be determined to avoid another home slip-up whilst Blackburn are looking to restore some pride. The Blues could just about edge this one.
Prediction: Birmingham 2-1 Blackburn (5/1)
Bet of the day: Che Adams to score anytime (9/5)
Outside punt: Birmingham to win by exactly one goal (14/5)
Enhanced wincast: Che Adams to score and Birmingham to win (7/2)
